Directions

The Groove Music Hall is located at exit 118 off I-95, one exit south of Fredericksburg, VA and just 35 minutes north of downtown Richmond, VA. It’s on the first floor of the main building at Dominion Raceway. Click here for directions.

What are the seating arrangements?

All seats are general admission, meaning first come, first serve with no assigned seats. Events will be set up to fit the genre or the type of show being presented. Please see the MAP, or check the “Shows & Tickets” section for details. For special needs, please contact info@thegroovemusichall.com.

What are “Gold Section” tickets?

Most shows at The Groove Music Hall will offer the “Gold Section” ticket option. A souvenir lanyard or wristband will be issued to these ticket holders upon entry and they will have the choice of seating in the front section of the Music Hall closest to the stage. This section will be cordoned off and only those ticket holders with the correct lanyard or wristband will be allowed in that section. “Gold Section” tickets are not offered for all events, so please check the “Shows & Tickets” section for availability.

Is The Groove Music Hall handicap accessible?

Yes, The Groove Music Hall, the 118 Bar & Grill, and our restrooms are handicap accessible. There is also an elevator for easy access between the Music Hall and Bar & Grill. Guests with special needs should email info@thegroovemusichall.com in advance to make arrangements.

How do I purchase tickets?

The Groove Music Hall sells advance tickets on our website. You can print your tickets at home, pick them up at “Will Call,” or they can be mailed to you. The Groove Music Hall uses eTix for all of our events. Handling fees will apply and may vary by show for all tickets purchased online, by phone, or at the Box Office. The Box Office hours are Monday thru Friday from 10:00 am until 4:00pm. On weekend shows, the Box Office will open at 4:00pm. To order by phone call 703-361-7223 during Box Office hours. Special Offers – Offers including discounts are valid for the days, times, and/or shows posted. Restrictions apply and do vary. The offer is not valid for tickets purchased before the offer is announced. The No Refund policy applies to all special offers.

Do you offer refunds?

The Groove Music Hall has a NO REFUND policy. We do not offer refunds unless the show is canceled or rescheduled. You may select to transfer your canceled tickets to another show if tickets are available. Refund Policy: Refunds for canceled shows will be processed as requested by the customer. If you would like to be refunded for a rescheduled show, you must request the refund within 21 days of notification of the schedule change. No refunds will be issued after that date. Tickets are non-refundable unless a show has been canceled or rescheduled. All service or handling fees are always non-refundable.

Are children allowed at events?

All shows at The Groove Music Hall are All Ages unless noted on the “Shows & Tickets” page. Please check the individual show listings for details.

Picture Policy

The band/artist dictates the photo and/or recording policy for each event and the policy changes from show to show. You may bring your camera with the understanding that you might need to return it to your car or check it with us for the duration of the show. In general, point and shoot cameras are allowed with NO FLASH photography. Professional cameras and/or cameras with removable lens ARE NOT permitted in the venue at any time. Press with professional cameras must contact info@thegroovemusichall.com in advance to arrange a press pass in order to shoot during a show.

Are food and beverages available at the events?

The 118 Bar & Grill, a full-service restaurant, and bar is located on the second floor of the main building at Dominion Raceway. The 118 Bar & Grill will open 4 hours before every show and will stay open late after most shows. We offer a wide variety of beverages for purchase inside The Groove and food and drink may be taken freely throughout the building, including during performances. Doors generally open one hour before show time. No outside food or beverages permitted.  PLEASE NOTE: “The possession, consumption or sale of illegal drugs or alcohol is expressly forbidden on the grounds of Dominion Raceway.  If you are tailgating at an event here you may bring in food for your use but you may not sell it or bring it in the building or pit areas for consumption.  You agree that you are responsible for distribution of such items including fitness or use and agree to indemnify Dominion Raceway and its affiliates against any claim related there to.”

What time should I arrive?

Show and door times are posted on the “Shows & Tickets” page, as well as on the printed tickets. Doors generally open one hour before show time. Remember all shows are general admission, meaning first come, first serve.

Where do I park?

The Groove Music Hall is located on the first floor of the main building at Dominion Raceway. Free onsite parking and ample handicap parking is available close to the entrance. Our ticket office is located on the corner of the building, facing the parking lot, right beside the main lobby entrance.

Is The Groove Music Hall available to rent?

The Groove Music Hall is available to rent for weddings, corporate meetings, banquets, and parties. The 118 Bar & Grill can also be rented for private events, and we have various spaces available for groups of any size. For more information, please contact info@thegroovemusichall.com.
